Atlantic Canada was Canadians' playground before the pandemic; now the provinces are taking concerted action to reclaim that status as early as this spring.

Porter is here to support East Coast travellers with recently-announced, new non-stop flights between Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and Halifax (starting April 7), Moncton (starting May 5), and Fredericton (also starting May 5).

These non-stop flights supplement existing service for each market that stop in Montreal or Ottawa, and don't require passengers to change aircraft. Halifax has up to nine daily round-trip flights linking with Toronto in summer and Fredericton and Moncton both have two year-round Toronto flights.

Atlantic Canada had the largest share of Canadian visitors from other provinces. The largest outside sources of Canadian visitors were Ontario (1.8 million visits) and Quebec (747,000 visits) (Statcan, 2019). Provincially funded "destination-of-choice" programs are in full swing, drawing friends, relatives, and visitors who crave a little East Coast hospitality and fun into exploring the region's deep history, captivating land and seascapes, signature cuisine, and unbeatable arts and entertainment scene.

If you come from away, you're welcome here.

Canadians are responding to Atlantic Canada's major campaigns, which include Newfoundland and Labrador's year-long #ComeHome2022 and Nova Scotia's Calling All Doers which describes special things visitors can see and do best in Nova Scotia. New Brunswick's winter stay-cation campaign, themed "We Know How to Do Winter" runs until the end of March, then is expected to be replaced by a spring appeal.

Porter's new non-stop options for the Maritimes offer the added bonus of simplifying traveller's connections at Billy Bishop Airport to Ontario and U.S. destinations, including those listed below:
