Qatar Airways and WestJet have announced a new codeshare partnership.
Under the agreement, Qatar Airways will place its QR code on select WestJet flights across Canada, allowing passengers travelling through Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL) to connect to nine additional Canadian cities.
The destinations include Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Ottawa, Regina, Saskatoon, St. John’s and Winnipeg.
For WestJet passengers, the partnership will provide access to Qatar Airways’ international network of more than 170 business and leisure destinations, including New Delhi, Nairobi, Singapore and Jeddah.
The agreement comes as Qatar Airways increases its Canadian service, expanding from 12 to 14 weekly flights effective October 25, 2026. With the additional frequencies, the airline now operates daily flights from both Toronto and Montréal.
The codeshare adds WestJet to Qatar Airways’ existing network of airline partners and strengthens connections between Canada and destinations across the Middle East, Asia, Africa and beyond.
For Canadian travel advisors, the agreement provides another option when arranging international itineraries for clients departing from cities beyond Toronto and Montréal.
