Coconut Bay Beach Resort and Spa in Saint Lucia revealed its newly renovated guest rooms when it reopened last week following its annual fall closure. The resort spent $14 million US on transforming each of its 250 rooms with thoughtful updates and airy, Caribbean-inspired design.

“This project represents more than new rooms. It reflects our commitment to continually enhancing the guest experience, for the many repeat guests who return to Coconut Bay year after year, as well as those discovering us for the first time,” says Mark Adams, President and CEO of Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa. “We have always believed that by listening to our guests and looking at what we can do better, we can elevate every Coconut Bay getaway. This is a significant milestone for us, and we’re incredibly proud of the work that has gone into creating more modern, comfortable accommodations that our guests will enjoy for years to come.”

The investment represents the largest room project in the resort’s 20-year history.

In the adults-only Harmony Wing, rooms have been fitted with warm mahogany furniture and comfortable seating area. The family-friendly Splash Wing rooms (now upgraded to junior suits) feature ocean-inspired shades of blue, crisp white furnishings, twin trundle beds and sea turtle artwork complement the family-friendly design.

According to the hotel, every room was entirely stripped and redone, including the bathrooms, with sleek white granite countertops, vessel sinks and new finishes and fixtures. Harmony Junior Suites now feature spacious walk-in glass showers, while Splash Junior Suites offer full-size bathtubs. Guests will also find practical updates including blackout curtains, upgraded air conditioning, convenient 110V and 220V outlets, and full-length mirrors integrated into stylish sliding barn doors.

“We can’t wait to welcome our guests back to experience all the additions and changes we made during this year’s closure,” says John Miles, General Manager of Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa. “The project list was extensive, with improvements across the property reflecting our ongoing commitment to making each stay better than the last. Many of the changes, especially in Harmony, were inspired by suggestions from our valued extended family of guests. Their feedback helps us understand what matters most to them, and we’re always looking for ways to build on what they already love about Coconut Bay.”

Upgrades were also made to the adults-only Oceanside Bar & Grill in Harmony, along with a new swim-up bar at the Harmony Oasis Pool. Coconut Walk Marketplace and Silk restaurant have been refreshed, as have restrooms in common areas.

The resort also created a vaulted ceiling in the The Bougainvillea Banquet Room, plus remodeled landscaping and walkways, the Fitness Center has new equipment and completely renovated restrooms. New flooring  was installed in the Lobby and a new local vendor shopping area has been created, giving guests another opportunity to discover products from Saint Lucian businesses.

The next phase of upgrades will be devoted to creating a new Game Lounge with pool tables, ping-pong, foosball, TVs and a beverage area will be a fresh new location for guests to spend time. There will be a new playground at the CocoLand Kidz Klub, while new doors and a key card system will be installed for all guest rooms.
