Porter Airlines is celebrating its 20th anniversary by giving 20 VIPorter members a chance to win 20,000 loyalty points each over the next 20 days.
The giveaway begins Oct. 15 and runs through Nov. 3, with one winner selected each day from the airline's nearly four million VIPorter loyalty program members.
Canadian VIPorter members who have flown with Porter or redeemed points between Oct. 1, 2025, and Nov. 2, 2026, are automatically entered into the contest.
“Celebrating 20 years of service is about recognizing our passengers who have chosen to fly with us over the years. We are excited to mark this milestone by giving back to our loyal members – it’s our way of saying thank you,” said Edmond Eldebs, senior vice president and chief commercial officer, Porter Airlines.
What Can 20,000 VIPorter Points Get You?
VIPorter redemption flights start at 5,000 points for a one-way short-haul flight, 7,000 points for a long-haul flight and 10,000 points each way to select sun destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean.
That means a 20,000-point prize could cover a round-trip redemption flight to select sun destinations, subject to availability and applicable taxes and fees.
Members can also redeem points on flights operated by partner airlines, including Alaska Airlines and Air Transat, with access to select routes across the continental U.S., Hawaii, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe.
Two Decades of Growth
Since launching in 2006, Porter has grown from a regional airline into Canada's third-largest carrier, expanding its network across Canada and the United States, as well as into Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America.
The airline has also expanded its VIPorter loyalty program, introducing BMO VIPorter Mastercard products and opportunities to earn and redeem points through airline partnerships.
More recently, Porter became the preferred airline partner for BMO Blue Rewards, further expanding how members can use their loyalty benefits.
Throughout its expansion, Porter has maintained several features of its economy service, including complimentary beer and wine served in glassware, premium snacks and a fleet without middle seats. Its Embraer E195-E2 aircraft also offer complimentary WiFi.
For travel advisors, the anniversary giveaway provides an opportunity to remind eligible clients about their VIPorter membership and the redemption options available across Porter's growing network.
