Disney Parks is getting into the Jedi spirit to support the next "Star Wars" movie with new and upgraded film experiences at Walt Disney World and Disneyland.

Scheduled to be released on Dec. 18, the debut of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is building a genuine excitement amongst fans of the movie series, and Disney amusement parks are looking to capitalize on the hysteria.

At both Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California, guests will be treated to some of the newest and most anticipated attractions in the industry.

The first stop for any potential Jedi is the "Star Wars" Launch Bay located in Tomorrowland at Disneyland and at Animation Courtyard at Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios. Some of the attractions and entertainment located in Launch Bay include encounters with characters in the films, a "Star Wars" themed movie theater, a restaurant dubbed "The Cantina" and a game center, art gallery and merchandise shop all highlighting the "Star Wars" films.

Another popular attraction that has undergone a massive overhaul is Star Tours, which is found at both Disneyland and Hollywood Studios. This year's ride will be based on new characters and adventures from "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and will fully immerse guests in the world created for the films.

Some of the other attractions opening in the coming days to celebrate the latest release from the "Star Wars" movie series include "Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple" on Dec. 8 and "Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular" on Dec. 18, both at Echo Lake in Hollywood Studios.

The biggest additions to Disneyland and Walt Disney World will be the portions of each park dedicated to a new land themed after the "Star Wars" movie franchise. Both facilities expect to break ground in 2016.
