The pilot of an American Airlines flight was forced to call
on law enforcement officers to meet the plane at Kansas City International
Airport after a passenger reportedly touched a nearby traveler inappropriately
during a flight from Dallas-Fort Worth.
According to AirLive.net, American Airlines Flight 2742
departed Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport on October 14 en route to
Kansas City, Missouri, when the incident occurred.
Communications revealed that the Airbus A319 was cruising
over Wichita, Kansas, when flight crew members requested that police meet the
aircraft upon arrival due to a passenger seated in 12A allegedly touching the
private parts of the traveler seated next to them in seat 12B.
Flight attendants separated the two passengers and kept them
apart for the rest of the flight, while the pilot coordinated with ground
personnel to ensure officers would be available when the aircraft reached its
destination.
The plane landed safely at Kansas City International Airport
at 1:22 p.m. local time, and law enforcement officers were waiting at the gate
and boarded the aircraft to investigate the reported incident.
The report did not include further details about the
investigation, including whether an arrest was made or charges were filed.
TravelPulse reached out to American Airlines for a comment, but they did not
respond.
