For Giving Tuesday this year, Air Canada Vacations (ACV) chose to donate to the Sandals Foundation’s Hurricane Melissa relief efforts in Jamaica. ACV was able to raise $86,752 with the initiative.
"We are deeply grateful to our customers, travel advisors, and partners who responded to our call for action," said Nino Montagnese, Vice President at Air Canada Vacations. "Thanks to their support, we are able to provide essential aid to families and communities working to recover and rebuild in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa."
ACV announced that it would donate $10 for every paying customer who booked a package on Dec. 2 or Dec. 3, 2025. The accrued donations will help the Sandals Foundation continue to deliver urgent relief and support the restoration in the communities affected by the storm.
With over 400 schools severely damaged, "Air Canada Vacations' generosity will also enable our long-term recovery efforts to rebuild educational spaces for our young ones - a goal we are committed to working alongside Canadian charitable partners to make a reality," said Heidi Clarke, Executive Director of the Sandals Foundation.
ACV was pleased with the response to its initiative. "Supporting Jamaica's recovery is not just about providing immediate relief-it's about helping communities rebuild and thrive," says Montagnese.
