From restoring rainforest in Australia to helping to revive a lagoon in Venice, TTC Tour Brands wants travelers and travel advisors who serve them to know that protecting the planet is an important company priority.

TTC's sustainability and nature-based climate action is spearheaded by its not-for-profit foundation, TreadRight. And the projects TreadRight supports address everything from protecting biodiversity to capturing carbon and restoring ecosystems.

In honor of Earth Month, TTC is sharing the details of some of these efforts worldwide, so that travel advisors, in turn, can easily provide travelers with information about the company's work.

"At a time when travelers are seeking more meaningful, responsible ways to explore the world, TTC Tour Brands makes it easy for advisors to speak to their clients about achievements in sustainability," the company said in a statement today.

Melissa DaSilva, Deputy CEO of TTC Tour Brands, added that there is no better time than Earth Month to reflect on what TTC has accomplished thus far and its efforts moving forward.

"By sharing the tangible impact of our projects, TTC Tour Brands empowers advisors to confidently recommend our sustainably minded brands to travelers who are increasingly conscious of making responsible travel choices," said  DaSilva.

Read on for some of the Earth Month progress highlights from TTC Tour Brands, which include Trafalgar, Insight Vacations, Brendan Vacations, Luxury Gold, Costsaver and Contiki.

TTC Earth Month Progress Highlights

Australia: Restoring the Daintree Rainforest

In partnership with Rainforest Rescue, TTC Tour Brands has helped plant 91,000 tree seedlings to restore over 181,000 square meters of tropical rainforest—helping preserve one of the world's most ancient and biodiverse ecosystems.

Italy: Reviving the Venetian Lagoon

With Barena Association, about 300 fascines will be built in 2025 to regenerate the salt marshes of the Northern Venetian Lagoon, which is expected to sequester 17.7 to 59.3 tonnes of carbon overall.

Scotland: Rewilding the Highlands

Through Trees for Life, 20 New Caledonian Forest sites have been surveyed, resulting in the discovery of a 400-year-old pine - discovering lost pinewoods is the first step towards securing their protection and recovery.

USA: Farming the Future with Kelp

Supporting GreenWave's Kelp Climate Fund, TTC is helping fund over 50 regenerative ocean farms, planting over one million feet of kelp seed string and removing the equivalent of 40,603 car-driven miles in carbon emissions.

"Our goal is not just to reduce harm, but to restore, regenerate, and lead," added DaSilva. "Sustainability is at the heart of our business and our brands—and Earth Month reminds us that our work matters."
