Adventure Canada has revealed its 2027 expedition line-up, adding a new Arctic itinerary and bringing back several guest favourites.
The centrepiece of the announcement is the debut of Ellesmere Island and North Greenland: Journey to the Top of the World—a 13-day expedition running August 19–31, 2027.
The voyage will take travellers further north than any Adventure Canada journey to date, reaching Tartupaluk (Hans Island), a tiny island shared by Canada and Denmark in the Nares Strait.
“This voyage has long lived in our imagination, and we’re thrilled to now make it a reality,” said Cedar Swan, CEO of Adventure Canada. “It’s a chance to explore one of the most awe-inspiring and seldom-travelled regions of the Arctic – something we’ve always dreamed of sharing with our guests.”
Sailing round-trip from Qausuittuq (Resolute), Nunavut, aboard the Ocean Nova, the small-ship expedition will visit some of the Arctic’s most striking and historically significant locations, including:
- Tallurutiup Imanga (Lancaster Sound): A marine sanctuary known for polar bears, walrus, whales, and seabirds.
- Qaanaaq, Greenland: One of the world’s northernmost towns and a hub of Inughuit culture.
- Kane Basin: Where the coasts of Greenland and Ellesmere Island nearly meet.
- Tartupaluk (Hans Island): Once the site of a lighthearted territorial dispute, now a symbol of Arctic cooperation.
- Smith Sound: A biologically rich polynya linking Kane Basin to Baffin Bay.
- Aujuittuq (Grise Fiord): Canada’s northernmost community, whose name means “the place that never thaws.”
- Devon Island and Beechey Island: Historic landscapes tied to early Arctic exploration.
In addition to the new northern itinerary, Adventure Canada will bring back two refreshed voyages in 2027. The Gulf of St. Lawrence: Wild & Storied will continue to showcase the region’s Mi’kmaq heritage, Acadian history, and marine biodiversity. Sable Island: Wild Horses and Outpost Legacy will again offer rare access to the remote sandbar, with an enhanced focus on conservation and research partnerships.
Other returning expeditions aboard the Ocean Nova include Newfoundland Circumnavigation and Greenland & Wild Labrador: A Torngat Mountains Adventure. Additional sailings aboard Ocean Victory will be announced in the coming weeks.
Booking early can save up to 25% on most 2027 voyages by January 28, 2026, and up to 30% on select 2026 sailings by November 26, 2025.
