France Moves Canada to Green: No Restrictions for Vaccinated Travellers

France has moved Canada to their "GREEN" list, which means vaccinated travellers can visit without a PCR test or quarantine.

Canada joins other countries including the United States, Europe, Israel, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore.

Canadian travellers who are not vaccinated, still need a PCR or antigen test within 72hrs before departure.

Unvaccinated children will have to show a negative test from age 11.

"Atout France and French destinations are delighted with this good news that will make it easier for Canadians to travel back to France this summer," said Mélanie Paul-Hus, Director for Atout France in Canada.

"With the new flight schedules announced by the airlines, and hopefully the upcoming relaxation of the quarantine on return to Canada, fans of France and its overseas regions will be able to plan their future trips at their own pace. For several months now, France has deployed a sanitary protocol that allows travellers to feel secure and offers visitors improved experiences and many new attractions."

"ORANGE" Countries:

This is in comparison to those vaccinated travelling form an ORANGE country such as UK, Mexico, China, Russia, Turkey or the Emirates, who must have a PCR (72hrs) or antigen test (48hrs). Those traveling from those countries who are not vaccinated, can ony visit with a with a pressing reason. They need a PCR (72hrs) or antigen (48hrs) test and on arrival, may be tested, and must self-isolate for 7 days.

"RED" Countries:
Vaccinated travellers from South Africa, Brazil, or India, must have a compelling reason for travel; PCR or antigen test less than 48 hrs before travel; antigen test on arrival and do a 7 day self-isolation. Those traveling from those countries who are not vaccinated, can ony visit with a with a pressing reason. They need a PCR (72hrs) or antigen (48hrs) test and on arrival, may be tested, and must self-isolate for 7 days.

Accepted vaccines are those authorised by the European Medicines Agency are Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca
