A St. John's, Newfoundland hotel that TravelPulse Canada visited last summer is getting some North American television exposure, thanks to Drew Barrymore and actor Charlie Heaton.
JAG Hotel made an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show this week, with one audience member winning a five-night stay at the music-inspired boutique property in downtown St. John's.
The hotel was featured during a segment with actor Charlie Heaton, who joined Barrymore to discuss the new Netflix series Below, which is set and filmed in Newfoundland.
The connection to the province provided an opportunity to introduce viewers to the destination, with images of JAG Hotel featured during the giveaway.

For the winner, the trip will offer a chance to explore the setting behind the series.
JAG's downtown location puts guests within walking distance of Water Street, George Street and the St. John's waterfront.
A Familiar Stop for TravelPulse Canada
TravelPulse Canada experienced JAG firsthand during a hosted visit last summer, getting a behind-the-scenes look at a property where rock and roll is part of the experience.
During the visit, Roger Barrow, Vice President of Sales at Steele Hotels, provided a tour of the hotel's expansion, which brought its room count to 169 across two connected buildings, appropriately named Rhythm and Blues.
The property is also home to JAG Soundhouse, a 1,600-seat concert venue, and an extensive collection of music memorabilia that reflects owner John Steele's passion for music.

The appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show follows other media attention for JAG, including recognition as one of Canada's five best new hotels by the New York Post and a recommendation on CTV's The Social.
For Newfoundland, the television appearance offers another opportunity to introduce the province to travellers, as film and television productions continue to bring its landscapes and communities to audiences beyond Canada.
The segments featuring Heaton and the Newfoundland giveaway can be viewed on The Drew Barrymore Show's website.
