The hotel brand Secrets, already well appreciated by travelers for its luxurious all-inclusive hotels where you can eat very well, inaugurated this year Impression, a new brand which aims to be even more upscale than Secrets.
TravelPulse Canada was able to visit, during a recent press trip to Mexico, the first two Impression properties, namely Impression Moxché by Secrets, which adjoins the Secrets Moxché complex and shares common areas, and Impression Isla Mujeres, a new construction on the island which is accessible only by boat from Cancun.

Impression Isla Mujeres by Secrets
It's very high-end and everything is included. From daily ironing to 24-hour room service and private butler, everything is included and everything is thought out to make the guest feel like a king. For those accustomed to the concept, the brand competes directly with the Velas hotels in Mexico, which offer very, very luxurious all-inclusive packages.
Impression by Secrets is the 10th and newest brand to join Hyatt's Inclusive Collection, Erica Doyne, Senior Vice President, Global Marketing & Communications, Inclusive Collection told us, Hyatt was launched to satisfy the most discerning travelers. who seek authentic experiences combined with ultra-high-end personalized luxury in an all-inclusive setting.

Unlimited, anytime, all-inclusive
Indeed, this is immediately what we noticed during our stay at the impressive Impression Isla Mujeres . During our transfer from the Hacienda del Mar marina in Cancun to Isla Mujeres, which took place aboard a luxury catamaran with some six other clients on board, sales manager Rodrigo Centeno explained to us that Impression Isla Mujeres has two ships for the transfer of customers between Cancun and Isla Mujeres "and it's unlimited, on request and 24/7" we were told. So a client who would like to go to dinner and party in Cancun will be brought back to their destination at the time of their choice, just notify their butler who will coordinate everything.
Once you arrive at the Impression wharf, you feel completely elsewhere, especially far from the Mexico that you know. Perched on the side of the cliffs, the Impression Isla Mujeres hotel offers a decor that reminds us of the Greek islands, while our room seems carved into the rock with earth tones and many reminders of raw materials. The ubiquitous Mexican craftsmanship offers a magnificent combination of very chic, very polished, but also very elegant in neutral and soothing tones.

One Bedroom Terrace Ocean
Hard to make a choice!
We particularly like the quay where you can choose a beach bed to admire the view, directly on the water, the hammocks or the infinity pools on each floor of the hotel where you can choose your atmosphere and His point of view. The water and the sea are the focal point of the decor here as it can be admired from almost everywhere, it is absolutely spectacular. Bonus point for the waterslide which was not originally supposed to be there but was eventually kept in the building plans for the new hotel. When we were there, it was enough that we used it to create a training movement with the customers who gave themselves to their heart's content. There is no age limit for having fun in the water!
The "rooftop" was personally our favourite, with its long transparent infinity pool and the sun loungers installed directly in the pool, the effect is simply spectacular. The just enough "macramé" furniture on the terrace is equally so, while at the end of the day, a DJ offers an atmosphere just festive enough to enjoy the sunset with a cocktail in hand. It feels like a more relaxed version of Ibiza and that's perfect.

Rooftop Pool
The restaurants all offer a sea view and an impressive decor and there is always the choice between: Italian, Japanese, Mexican and grilled dishes, customers never need a reservation and can simply show up at the time of their choice, at the restaurant of their choice. This is our definition of luxury! In terms of food, it's good, however, we feel that the kitchen team wants to offer very high-end products so much that sometimes the flavors are lost and the result is disappointing. A poké bowl would have made us very happy, but it is reinvented here in an enhanced version and this is the case for several other recipes that we would have preferred well done, in all simplicity. However, we appreciate the work in each plate, the quality and the service which is certainly A1. We never miss anything.
The 24-hour café/ice cream counter/pastry shop is absolutely necessary, it's also where we met at any time of the day when we had a little peckish. Sometimes you don't want anything complicated, and that's exactly the purpose of this space that seemed to be very popular with customers.
The hotel is magnificent in every way, the rooms, the restaurants, the lobby, the spa, the bars, everything is beautiful, and even magnificent, in terms of activities, however, we will find ourselves more often than not enjoying the swimming pools and the ocean, non-motorized boats from the hotel and taking a taxi (only $7 USD) to town to enjoy the atmosphere of this Pueblo Magico which is very pretty and pleasant to visit.
