The Danieli’s three interconnected buildings reflect centuries of Venetian history. Palazzo Dandolo was first converted into a hotel in 1822, followed by the addition of the 19th-century Palazzo Casa Nuova and the Palazzo Danieli Excelsior in 1950. French designer Pierre-Yves Rochon has overseen the restoration, blending contemporary design with Venetian materials such as Murano glass, terrazzo, Italian marbles and Rubelli fabrics.
General Manager Christian Zandonella will lead the hotel team, including staff familiar to returning guests.
“Venice has always inspired the world’s imagination,” Zandonella said. “At the Danieli, we open the door to authentic cultural connections – working with local craftspeople and celebrating the beauty of everyday life in the city.”
Four Seasons has confirmed that guest arrivals will begin on August 26, 2026.
When it opens, the hotel will feature 120 rooms and suites, with additional accommodations planned for 2027, bringing the total to 176. Many rooms will offer unobstructed views of the lagoon, and the layout includes a high number of connecting rooms designed for families and groups.
