Porter Airlines is adding London, Ont. to its route map for the first time.
Beginning in November, Porter will launch four nonstop sun routes from YXU, connecting Southwestern Ontario travellers with Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Cancun and Montego Bay. But the bigger development may come next: Porter says it intends to build an extensive year-round domestic network from London beginning in summer 2027.
The expansion gives Porter a foothold in a Southwestern Ontario market where passengers have often travelled to larger airports outside the region for more flight options.
“The introduction of Porter service at YXU will benefit more than two million people in the Greater London area who can now fly from their local airport,” said Michael Deluce, CEO, Porter Airlines.
“Travellers throughout the region deserve seamless, elevated travel options closer to home. The combination of southern and domestic flights is an opportunity to introduce them to Porter’s award-winning passenger experience, delivered with genuine care and hospitality.”

The first Porter flight from London will depart for Fort Lauderdale on Nov. 18, operating four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Orlando service follows on Nov. 19 with three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Porter will add Mexico and Jamaica in December. London-Cancun flights begin Dec. 17 and operate four times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Twice-weekly Montego Bay service launches Dec. 18, operating Mondays and Fridays.

All four routes are seasonal.
The schedule gives Porter up to 13 weekly departures from London to southern destinations during peak periods, establishing a significant presence at YXU in its first season.

Domestic Expansion Planned for 2027
Porter isn't stopping with winter leisure flying.
The airline says it is committed to establishing a domestic network from London by summer 2027, with year-round service connecting the city with destinations across Canada. Specific routes and schedules have not yet been announced.
For London International Airport, that longer-term commitment is particularly significant.

E195-E2s Coming to YXU
Porter will operate the winter routes with its 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, configured in a two-by-two layout with no middle seats.
The airline's standard onboard service includes complimentary beer and wine served in glassware, snacks and free WiFi. PorterReserve fares add meals and premium cocktails on longer flights, extra-legroom seating at the front of the cabin, dedicated check-in and boarding and two checked bags. PorterClassic passengers can purchase additional services separately.

The London announcement continues Porter's expansion beyond its traditional Eastern Canadian footprint as it deploys its growing E195-E2 fleet on longer domestic, transborder and leisure routes.
With a year-round domestic schedule already promised for 2027, Porter's first arrival in London is the opening move in a much broader push into Southwestern Ontario.
