The newest addition to the Royalton Luxury Resorts portfolio is Mystique Regis Habana by Royalton, a boutique 61-room adults-only hotel in Old Havana.
The property is located at the intersection of Paseo del Prado and Calle Colón, in the historic center of the old city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Royalton says the property has been "completely renewed while still reflecting the charm of Old Havana."
"This property is truly a hidden gem restored and rescued from the early 1990s," said Mohamad Fawzi, Managing Director for Blue Diamond Resorts Cuba. "It shows our commitment to this region, where we continue to grow and take this rich destination to more markets."
Royalton says the Mystique Regis will appeal to couples, friends, families with adults and corporate groups, with an ambience that will take guests back to the early 1900s, when travellers from all around the globe came to Havana to experience one of the most luxurious and modern cities in the world. Royalton officially takes over the property on September 1.
Owned by Grupo de Turismo Gaviota the Mystique Regis Habana by Royalton features two restaurants, a rooftop bar, a café, and a lobby bar with authentic Cuban mixology.
The unique rooms feature modern amenities like coffee pod machines and mini-bars, contrasting with the elegant classic style that includes hangers for hats and canes. The top floor includes rooms with terraces.
The slogan for the Mystique by Royalton brand is 'Miles from Ordinary.' The company calls it "a boutique-style resort collection full of endless beauty and hip vibes." The target audience is "luxury travellers seeking to explore a unique and vibrant culture." There are mystique properties in Saint Lucia, and Holbox, Mexico, as well as two other in Cuba: Varadero and Trinidad.
Blue Diamond Resorts now encompasses over 45 properties, exceeding 18,000 rooms in eight countries located in the most popular holiday destinations in the Caribbean.
