Two new resorts in Mexico and a Nashville restaurant have just received the highest designation in the AAA
Diamond Program, along with three hotels and three restaurants earning AAA Four Diamonds.
Since 1937, AAA
inspectors have visited hotels and restaurants throughout North America, the Caribbean and Costa Rica unannounced, conducting in-person property evaluations to objectively verify the 4 Cs of AAA Diamonds: Cleanliness, Comfort, Cuisine and Consistency.

The Catbird Seat | Nashville, Tennessee
New AAA Four Diamond Hotels include:
- Mystic Lake Casino Hotel | Prior Lake, Minnesota
- Sun Valley Lodge | Sun Valley, Idaho
- The Crescent at Turning Stone | Verona, New York
New AAA Four Diamond Restaurants include:
- Kasama | Chicago, Illinois
- Moxi | San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico
- The Penrose Room | Colorado Springs, Colorado
To date, AAA reports there are roughly 145 Five Diamond hotels and 65 Five Diamond restaurants and close to 1,750 Four Diamond hotels and 500 Four Diamond restaurants.
