British luxury cruise
line Cunard has announced the return of Chef Michel Roux to the Queen Anne
with five exclusive Culinary Residences scheduled for 2027 and 2028.
Though Roux’s Le Gavroche has officially closed in the U.K.,
guests have the rare opportunity to experience the legendary restaurant’s cuisine
at sea and spend time with the renowned chef during five exclusive sailings. The
Michel Roux Culinary Residencies will take place on seven-night Norway and
Norwegian Fjords voyages in May, August and September 2027, with further
sailings confirmed on a Norway and Denmark voyage in May 2028 and a
Norwegian Fjords voyage in June 2028.
"Working with Cunard on Le Gavroche at Sea has been a
wonderful experience, and I'm delighted to continue the partnership, said
Michel Roux. “Today, Queen Anne is the only place in the world where guests can
experience the spirit of Le Gavroche in this way, bringing together exceptional
food, great company and unforgettable travel. Sharing that experience at sea,
while sailing through some of the world's most spectacular destinations, makes
it truly special. I look forward to welcoming guests on board for another
memorable season."
Queen Anne guests can savor intimate dining and a specially
curated tasting menu limited to just 50 guests each evening along with a chance
to meet twins Ursula and Silvia Perberschlager, known as 'The Sisters', whose
warmth and hospitality made them much-loved figures at Le Gavroche for more
than 20 years. Residency voyages passengers can also enjoy an exclusive
three-course Gala menu in all main dining rooms and Oysters at Carinthia, an
enhanced seafood offering available each evening in the elegant surroundings of
the Carinthia Lounge.
In addition, a program of exclusive events hosted by Michel Roux
will include live cooking demonstrations, Cunard Insights talks, Q&A
sessions and booking signings.
"The response to Le Gavroche at Sea has been
extraordinary since its launch, and we're delighted to continue our partnership
with Michel in 2027 and 2028, said Paul Ludlow, President of Cunard in statement.
“Michel's passion for exceptional cuisine and craftsmanship aligns perfectly
with Cunard's commitment to creating unforgettable experiences at sea. These
residencies bring together outstanding dining, inspiring enrichment and some of
Northern Europe's most spectacular scenery, creating voyages that are truly
unique to Queen Anne. We know our guests look forward to these sailings each
year, and we're delighted to offer another season of memorable culinary
experiences."
