The Hong Kong Disneyland Resort announced a year-long celebration
in honor of the theme park’s 20th anniversary, starting this summer.
As part of the festivities, Hong Kong Disneyland will host
the all-new, anniversary-only stage show at Castle of Magical Dreams, featuring
Mickey and Friends, Duffy and Friends, and Disney princesses.
The Asian theme park also unveiled the new daytime parade,
“Friendtastic!” The parade will be the largest ever Hong Kong Disneyland,
featuring 11 party floats with many Disney characters, including Mickey Mouse,
Minnie Mouse and more.
As the grand finale to each day, a special edition of the
nighttime spectacular “Momentous” will debut. This 20th-anniversary edition
will be complete with projections extending down Main Street, U.S.A. and drone technology.
From the park to the hotels, the entire resort is joining in
the celebration. Guests will be offered a wide array of party elements created
just for the anniversary, including new 20th anniversary outfits for Mickey and
Friends, along with Duffy and his friends.
Last year, Hong
Kong Disneyland announced new details about an extended Marvel-themed area,
which features a new story surrounding Spider-Man and Stark Industries.
