The agent reward program of G Adventures, Change Makers, has returned, giving travel advisors in the United States a chance to attend the fifth global summit, GX Summit, in Brazil in September 2027. The 15 top performing American agents will join a contingent of 75 standout advisors from elsewhere around the globe to celebrate the transformative power of community tourism firsthand.
Starting in November 2026, agents will earn one entry for every traveler booked on a G Adventures itinerary during the qualification window. The top 12 American advisors based on total passenger count automatically win a spot. Additionally, three wildcard spaces will go to American agents who commit to a minimum of one booking and who complete specific monthly challenges.
The wildcard opportunities include completing specialized G-learning training modules, participating in fundraising initiatives for G Adventures’ non-profit partner, Planeterra, and incentive boosts for first-time bookers.
The Change Makers program is designed to give advisors a front-row seat to the tangible social impact driven by their bookings. The qualification period runs through May 31, 2027.
The previous GX Summit was held in Cambodia, where 75 global Change Makers joined more than 600 travelers, media, and industry partners from around the world. Attendees explored Angkor Wat, navigated the floating villages of Tonlé Sap, and saw community tourism in action through Planeterra-supported social enterprises like Spoons restaurant and the Lady Tuk Tuk Drivers association. It culminated with a celebration at Bayon Temple, illuminated entirely in the company’s signature purple color.
The upcoming 2027 GX Summit in Brazil will dive into South American culture and focus on local impact. From vibrant landscapes to social enterprise projects backed by Planeterra, winning advisors will see firsthand how community tourism drives long-term local resilience.
