HX Expeditions Adds CAD Pricing Option

HX Expeditions is now allowing Canadian travellers and travel advisors to book expedition voyages in Canadian dollars, a move aimed at addressing ongoing currency fluctuations and feedback from the Canadian trade.

The new option, available as of March 24, gives Canadian guests and B2B partners the choice to book in either U.S. or Canadian dollars. While pricing on HX’s website will continue to appear in U.S. dollars, CAD bookings can be made by phone through the company’s Guest Excellence (GX) team.

“Offering pricing in Canadian dollars strengthens our commitment to the Canadian market,” said Carla Brake, Senior Director of Sales, Americas at HX Expeditions, who is based in Toronto. “It gives our advisor partners greater clarity when quoting voyages and allows travelers to plan their expedition with the confidence and convenience of booking in their local currency.”

All current sailings are now available to book in CAD, including those featured in the company’s 130th anniversary sale, running from March 24 through April 30, 2026. The promotion offers up to 35% off expeditions to destinations including Antarctica, Alaska and Greenland, or a free suite upgrade on select Antarctic voyages.

The campaign also includes an additional 5% savings on Alaska sailings, including two itineraries launching this summer: the 10-day Alaska’s Inside Passage: Fjords of the Great Land (from $4,693 CAD) and the 13-day Alaska’s Inside Passage: Where the Mountains Meet the Sea (from $6,608 CAD). The offer is available upon request when booking through HX reservations.

The rollout comes alongside HX Expeditions’ largest-ever North American roadshow, with Canadian stops in Calgary on March 19 and an upcoming event in Toronto on April 22. The events are designed to connect advisors with company leadership and expedition specialists, offering destination insights, product updates and sales strategies. HX Expedition Ambassador Alex McNeil, based in Toronto, is also participating.

To support the expanded booking option, HX has doubled the size of its Guest Excellence team across the Americas since the start of the year. The team of Expedition Specialists assists advisors and guests with itinerary planning, reservation management and pre-departure preparation.
