The Travel Agent Next Door (TTAND) has announced a joint venture with NextTrip, Inc.
Under the agreement, NextTrip will generate travel inquiries through its streaming television network, JOURNY TV, and related marketing channels. TTAND will then distribute those leads to advisors participating in its existing Lead Generation Program, with advisors handling travel planning and bookings.
JOURNY TV is a free, advertising-supported streaming network featuring travel programming. In Canada, the channel is available through Samsung TV Plus, LG Smart TVs, Roku, Apple iOS, YouTube and the JOURNY website.
According to the companies, JOURNY TV currently records approximately 1.3 million minutes watched per month in Canada, which NextTrip identifies as one of its five largest global markets.
“We are excited about this new opportunity. NextTrip will generate travel inquiries through its streaming media and related marketing channels, while TTAND will provide a dedicated team of travel advisors and end-to-end fulfillment,” said Flemming Friisdahl, TTAND CEO.
“This will bring incremental business for our agent partners in our Lead program and of course to our supplier partners.”
Canadian consumers responding to NextTrip campaigns will be directed to a dedicated JOURNYGO Travel website or telephone service, where they will be connected with TTAND advisors trained to handle inquiries for both individual travellers and groups.
“We are excited to establish a partnership with such an innovative group as the Travel Agent Next Door. Canada is a top five market globally for JOURNY TV. This relationship provides a FastTrack for NextTrip’s Canadian viewership affording a 'Watch Click & Go’ solution, while also ensuring excellence in customer service,” said Bill Kerby, CEO and Director, NextTrip, Inc.
The partnership will also involve travel programming and offers developed specifically for Canadian audiences.
“JOURNY TV will provide specialized programming and travel offers tailored to the interests and aspirations of Canadians. Potential segments include destination weddings, golf, cruise, luxury and adventure travel,” Friisdahl added.
TTAND says its national network will allow consumers to work with advisors in their own communities, while providing participating agents with another potential source of business.
“Our role is to help turn travel interest into a well-serviced travel experience,” said Brad Miron, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at The Travel Agent Next Door.
“With advisors in every province, we can connect Canadian travelers with local expertise while supporting Canadian-owned businesses in their communities. By bringing together our advisor network, supplier relationships and operational capabilities with JOURNY’s content and audience, we see an opportunity to create incremental business for our advisors, supplier partners and NextTrip.”
The new program is expected to launch in December 2026.
