AmaWaterways is rolling out a series of fleet-wide upgrades this season, enhancing accommodations, dining, amenities and onboard programming across its river cruise ships.

The company says the changes are designed to improve comfort and consistency across the fleet as demand for river cruising continues to grow.

“AmaWaterways is investing in the guest experience more than ever before,” said Catherine Powell, CEO of AmaWaterways.

“Our guests will enjoy an elevated onboard experience, from dining and amenities to specially curated experiences across the fleet. As we grow, we remain focused on ensuring every journey remains unforgettable and true to what makes us unique, while continually raising the bar for those who travel with us.”

Cabin and Onboard Updates

Enhancements begin with refreshed exterior paintwork in warmer tones and extend to upgraded in-room amenities. Guests will find new linens, bathrobes and slippers, along with sustainable bathroom products from Marie-Stella-Maris. A new partnership with cosmetic brand Laura Geller will see premium skincare and makeup available in onboard gift shops.

The cruise line is also introducing updated branded items that reflect its revised visual identity.

Expanded Culinary Program

Dining is also a focus of the upgrades. Italian lunches will be introduced in the Chef’s Table specialty restaurants on most ships. Signature dinners developed by Culinary Director Chef Robert Kellerhals will become a featured part of the onboard program.

Onboard lounges have been renamed The Lark and will offer refreshments throughout the day, along with a new all-day “Savor at The Lark” menu.

A new bread program will feature multiple freshly baked varieties daily. Snack jars stocked with house-made protein balls, muesli bars, dried fruit, nuts and cookies will also be available.

Wine selections are expanding as well, with more than 30 included red, white and rosé wines offered on each sailing, in addition to premium bottles available for purchase.

Regional Partnerships

On select itineraries, guests will receive locally inspired confections delivered to their staterooms. Along the Danube River, the cruise line partners with third-generation master chocolatier Johannes Bachhalm, recognized by the Gault & Millau guide.

What Remains Included

AmaWaterways continues to include accommodations, onboard meals, wine and beer with lunch and dinner, the Sip and Sail cocktail hour, up to six shore excursion options per port led by local guides, Wi-Fi and the services of a Cruise Manager. Complimentary soft drinks will now be available throughout the day on most European ships.

The company says the enhancements are being introduced across the fleet in time for the upcoming sailing season.
