The Best Time to Visit Alaska: A Season-By-Season Guide
Lufthansa Group-owned leisure carrier Eurowings Discover is heading to Canada.
Created in early 2021, the airline is planning direct flights from its Frankfurt hub to Calgary International Airport four times per week beginning on May 23. On June 13, Eurowings Discover will begin 3X-weekly non-stop service to Halifax Stanfield International Airport.
Early last year, the Lufthansa Group announced that it was starting a new airline focused on medium- and long-haul leisure travel.
Based at Germany's two big hubs in Frankfurt and Munich, Eurowings Discover will offer economy class, premium economy and business class fare offerings. Unlike previous low-cost carrier Eurowings, Eurowings Discover will work in tandem with travel agencies.
Passengers in all classes will have access to inflight entertainment of a standard equal to Lufthansa, the airline says.
Eurowings Discover currently has a fleet of 12, including three Airbus A320-200s, three Airbus A330-200s and six Airbus A330-300s.
