BermudAir is committing to maintaining its commission structure for Canadian travel advisors.

The airline has launched a new Advisor Commission Pledge, outlining a long-term commitment to advisors through standard commissions, dedicated sales support and expanded training opportunities.

"Travel advisors are not simply a sales channel, they are one of the foundations of our business," said Adam Scott, Founder & CEO, BermudAir.

"While others are reassessing their investment in the trade, we're strengthening ours. Our Advisor Commission Pledge reflects our confidence in the advisor community and our commitment to growing together."

Under the pledge, BermudAir said it will continue paying standard commissions of four per cent on all Economy fare families and eight percent on Business Class bookings for Canadian travel agencies. The commissions will continue to be paid at the time of ticketing.

The airline also said all Canadian travel agencies will have access to its published commission rates without requiring a preferred partnership agreement.

In addition to maintaining commissions, BermudAir said it will continue investing in Canadian business development, account management, cooperative marketing, fam trips, advisor promotions and sales incentives. The airline also plans to expand advisor education through the Bermuda Specialist Program and BermudAir Holidays training.

"Our philosophy is simple," added Nicole Conrad, Business Development Director for Canada.

"When travel advisors prosper, BermudAir prospers. Every booking deserves to be rewarded, whether it's an advisor's first BermudAir reservation or their five-hundredth."

The airline is also encouraging advisors to experience its product firsthand by offering Canadian travel advisors fares starting at CAD$49 each way. Advisors may also book one companion at the same rate.

BermudAir said its support for advisors extends beyond commissions and includes dedicated Canadian sales support, cooperative marketing opportunities, destination training, advisor-exclusive promotions, fam trips, group travel assistance and booking tools through the Sabre and Amadeus distribution systems.

The carrier is also highlighting its group travel program for parties of nine or more, which includes guaranteed group fares, one complimentary checked bag per traveller, a carry-on and personal item, and complimentary standard seat assignments.

As it expands its Canadian network, BermudAir said advisors will have additional opportunities to sell its year-round Toronto-Bermuda service, seasonal winter flights to Turks and Caicos and Anguilla, five fare families and BermudAir Holidays packages.

Through BermudAir Holidays, advisors can also earn commissions on hotels, vacation packages and destination experiences.

"Our commitment to the Canadian travel trade is long term," added Scott.

"As BermudAir continues to grow, we'll continue investing in the partnerships that have helped us succeed from day one.”
