Happy Travel Advisor Appreciation Month! 

May 7 is officially Travel Advisor Appreciation Day but in a move we love to see, some brands are stretching the celebration into the entire month of May.

There are a slew of special promotions, contests and enrichment resources being announced this month, and we want to make sure you stay on top of them. Please check back as we will be updating this article as the new announcements roll in.

We’ve teamed up with TravelPulse US for a show-stopping prize giveaway to celebrate all the work you do throughout the year. This year we are doing something new for travel advisors: a social media giveaway offering free trips to travel advisors!

From a free AmaWaterways cruise to a $500 Delta Air Lines gift card, travel advisors will have the opportunity to win some amazing prizes by following TravelPulse on Instagram, liking the giveaway post, sharing with three other advisors and following the suppliers tagged in the post. 

ACTA

The Association of Canadian Travel Advisors is hosting a social media contest to celebrate Travel Advisor Appreciation Day. 

Advisors can enter by following @ACTACanada_ or @ACTAQuebec on Instagram and checking the contest rules for a chance to win a 3-night stay for two at Secrets St. Lucia, Secrets Aruba, or a 5-night stay at Dreams Playa Esmeralda Punta Cana. The contest runs from May 7 to May 15, 2025. Travel is valid for one year.

“It’s our way of saying thank you for everything travel advisors do,” said ACTA President, Wendy Paradis.

 

Air Canada and Air Canada Vacations

Air Canada and Air Canada Vacations are going all out for advisor appreciation as they celebrate its 50th anniversary. The initiative will see 50 prizes awarded over the course of the month, including Economy Class tickets to any Canadian destination served by Air Canada, ACV&ME points, travel vouchers, and other rewards.

Ten winners will be selected each week.

ALG Vacations

ALG Vacations is honoring advisors in three different ways this month. The first is providing 20 percent compensation on Travel Protection Plus coverage and 15 percent commission on ENVFs. 

The second are more ways to close sales with ALGV, including Best Price Guarantees extended for international and Hawai’i travel through 2025, promo code savings up to $250, ENVFs starting at $229 roundtrip, up to $1,500 in group travel credits, $100 in Premium Air credits and up to 70 percent off hotels. 

Additionally, ALGV is offering global travel advisor giveaways, with trips to Cancun, Punta Cana, the South Pacific, Europe and beyond. The grand prize giveaway is a trip to Dubai. 

AmaWaterways

AmaWaterways is offering a whole month of opportunities for travel advisors to enjoy better booking rewards, reduced deposits on 2025 sailings and even a giveaway with a free cruise for two as the prize! The giveaway will be a random drawing for all those who attend each Webinar Wednesday in May. 

Avanti Destinations

Independent travel specialist Avanti Destinations is thanking travel advisors with a $25 gift card for each FIT land booking of $5,000 or more booked in May for travel before December 15, 2025. Advisors will receive a $500 gift card for trips booked outside of Europe. 

Avanti is also hosting three webinars during three Wednesdays in May helping travel advisors build their business.

CIE Tours

CIE Tours is offering a special travel advisor giveaway with a grand prize of a trip for two to Spain on CIE’s nine-day Best of Spain tour. 

Advisors can enter the giveaway by completing the online form on May 6, 2025. Winners will be notified on May 7, Travel Agent Day. Additionally, travel advisors who book CIE Tours for clients will be automatically entered into a $100 e-gift card drawing each day in May. 

Collette

Join the Travel Advisor Network on Facebook for event announcements and daily giveaways throughout the month. Additionally, Collette has several resources and promotions to help advisors grow their business and enhance their learning, such as marketing resources, Collette University and access to personalized support from business development managers. There is also Social Media Marketing via Rallio, free brochures to send to clients with a personalized note from Collette Connection, interactive virtual events and flash chats tailored specifically for travel advisors; including a Travel Advisor Chat on May 29th. (Register here)  and access to the current 50 percent off air sale offer, being extended through May 30.

Delta Vacations

Delta Vacations is celebrating advisors with $250 SkyMiles Members savings on new bookings made this month for trips around the world in addition to a new giveaway. The top 31 travel advisors who book trips with Delta Vacations this May will receive a trip to Jamaica or Hawai’i, complete with airfare and a hotel stay. 

Disney

Disney is launching a month-long activation for travel advisors at Walt Disney World. Those heading to Animal Kingdom can check out the new Travel Advisor Appreciation Station, where they’ll meet members of the park’s sales team and enjoy some refreshments. There’s also a way to redeem free park tickets!

Explore Worldwide

B Corp certified small group adventure tour operator Explore Worldwide is offering a booking contest for travel advisors this month, with every booking one entry into the contest. 

The prize? A trip of the travel advisor’s choice! From Morocco to the Amalfi Coast and beyond, the winner will enjoy a free trip to experience Explore Worldwide for themselves. The winner will be announced June 13, 2025. 

Bookings must have a 10 percent deposit before the end of May to qualify for an entry. 

Additionally, the operator is still offering the “Book 5, Get 1 Free” incentive, which provides a free trip with Explore for every five bookings, available through June 30, 2025. 

Exodus Adventure Travels

Travel advisors in the U.S. and Canada can enjoy an easy way to earn a free trip with B Corp certified tour operator Exodus Adventure Travels’ “Book Three, Go Free” program, available now through September 30, 2025. 

Advisors who book three passengers on any small group tour departing now through September 30 will earn a free spot on a trip, valued at up to $3,000. Free trips must be booked by March 31, 2026. 

Hurtigruten

Hurtigruten is celebrating the month by offering its biggest travel advisor giveaway yet: a travel package worth $12,000. All travel advisors who are part of Hurtigruten's Facebook group are entered to win the giveaway, with a grand prize of a Signature or Coastal Express trip for two, plus $300 in onboard credit and some other fun bonuses. 

Inside Travel Group

Inside Travel Group, the parent company of InsideJapan Tours and InsideAsia Tours, is celebrating advisors with a chance to win a free InsideJapan tour or a $25,000 "self-fam" trip to East Asia. Travel advisors are entered into the giveaway by becoming part of the Advisor Insider Program and submit at least one client booking. 

Meliá Hotels International

Meliá Hotels International is celebrating travel advisors this month and its 10th anniversary of the Meliá PRO program. The brand is offering an entire month of programming for Travel Advisor Appreciation Month, culminating in a MeliáRewards Points Giveaway in which ten lucky travel advisors will each receive 100,000 points. 

Perillo Tours

Third generation and family-owned Perillo Tours is thanking travel advisors for its success this past 80 years by gifting advisors an $80 gift card for every new guest reservation for a 2025 or 2026 Perillo Italy escorted tour or Perillo Custom Vacations trip to Italy booked this May. 

Pleasant Holidays, Journese

Pleasant Holidays and its luxury brand Journese are celebrating Travel Advisor Appreciation Month by awarding a trip to Hawai’i to the top-booking travel advisors in May, along with daily TRIP Point prizes for the top-booking travel advisor for each brand. 

The grand prize is a 6-night stay in Hawai’i at two resorts, plus 5,000 bonus TRIP points to the top sales producer for Pleasant Holidays and Journese. 

The second prize, awarded to the second-highest producer by revenue, is for 5,000 TRIP points. 

Daily prizes will also include 1,000 TRIP points each day in May. 

Regent Seven Seas Cruises

Luxury cruise line Regent Seven Seas Cruises is offering a $300 gift card incentive for travel advisors who book a deposited trip during the month of May, along with a chance for U.S. and Canadian advisors to win up to $10,000 in cash prizes. One newly deposited booking in May gives an advisor one entry into the giveaway. 

Rental Escapes

Rental Escapes is offering up to $5,000 in bonus commission for all bookings made through May for travel between May 8 through December 31, 2026, to thank travel advisors for the important work they do in planning travel for their clients. 

Scenic Group

Throughout May and June 2025, a series of incentives and exciting opportunities will be offered to all travel advisors across Canada, as a heartfelt thank you for their commitment. 

Canadian travel advisors can earn a Mastercard prepaid gift card with every Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours and Emerald Yacht Cruises booking made until May 31, 2025.  Earn a $100 prepaid gift card for every qualifying 2025 Scenic River cruise booking and Emerald Yacht Cruise 2025-2026 booking, plus a $250 gift card for every qualifying Scenic Eclipse 2025 and 2026 ocean cruise booking.   Once the booking is made and deposited, enter the details into the form. The deadline is 5pm PST on June 6, 2025.   

Canadian travel advisors can also earn an additional 2 percent  bonus commission on Scenic and Emerald River Cruises 2026 Europe River Cruise bookings (excluding Portugal) made until June 30, 2025. Full details can be found here. 

Sunwing Vacations

Throughout the month of May, Sunwing Vacations will be giving away 31 prizes and up to 8X STAR Points when advisors book their clients at one of more than 50 resorts.

Prizes include several 7-night hotel stays at properties in popular sun destinations, including Mexico and Jamaica, plus gift cards from favourites such as Indigo, President’s Choice, Petro Canada and The Keg. For every eligible booking advisors secure by May 31, 2025, they will be entered into the prize draw. Each Monday, the winners from the previous week will be announced on the Sunwing Vacations Group – Travel Advisors Facebook page.

Uniworld

Uniworld Boutique River Cruises is offering a special gift card booking bonus for every new Uniworld booking made in May and departing this year. Travel advisors will receive a $50 e-gift card for each eligible booking.

Advisors in Canada. should use the promo code “TAI2501-C” to receive the gift card.

Viking

Viking recognizes travel advisors as essential to its success. Now through May 31, 2025, Viking is offering a $100 bonus per booking on their Viking Rewards Card to graduates of the Viking Travel Advisor Academy. This incentive applies across all product lines—river, ocean, expedition, and Mississippi sailings—with no need to manually track bookings. Advisors simply need to visit viking.com/advisor. Once you have successfully completed the training, click on “Viking Rewards” to complete the registration process and qualify for the rewards. 

WestJet

WestJet has two reasons to celebrate this month. The first, of course, is travel advisors. The second is its new learning portal created just for the industry.

The airline is giving away prizes throughout May, including a Discover Halifax package with flights, accommodations, and local experiences; a $300 WestJet gift card with two Extended Comfort vouchers; and a $150 Skip gift card. 

Register on the portal and fill out the entry form found there. 

WestJet Vacations

WestJet Vacations launches Get in it to Win it Bingo, giving advisors the chance to win one of 25 incredible prizes. Up for grabs are a bunch of prizes that are perfect for an advisor with a little wanderlust, from all inclusive getaways on board WestJet with round-trip airport transfers to Monos carry-ons and WestJet gift cards. 

To participate, advisors should download a bingo card from the Travel Agent Resource site. Each qualifying vacation booked means one square can be checked off. Once a line is filled in, upload the card to the submission link for verification. The first five advisors to complete a validated line will win one of the weekly prizes.
