Aigoout Travel Ltd., a Richmond-based travel agency, has had its licence suspended by Consumer Protection BC.According to the provincial consumer protection authority, Aigoout Travel allegedly failed to submit its 2024 financial records when requested and did not inform the regulator of changes in company directors.“Aigoout Travel Ltd. is no longer authorized to sell or otherwise provide travel services in the Province of British Columbia while the license is suspended,” reads a public notice issued by Consumer Protection BC.RELATED: ‘It Was a Scam:’ B.C. Travel Agency’s Licence CancelledThe suspension means the agency cannot legally sell or provide travel services in British Columbia unless and until its licence is reinstated.The action follows another recent enforcement case involving a Richmond-based travel agency. As reported by TravelPulse Canada, Vegas Vacations Ltd., located in Richmond’s Lansdowne Centre, had its licence revoked by Consumer Protection BC on Jan. 9.In that case, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police asked customers with complaints related to Vegas Vacations to contact police after multiple consumers reported paying for travel services that were not delivered.Consumer Protection BC has not indicated whether consumers affected by Aigoout Travel’s suspension should contact authorities.
