Tales of Inspiration: Patricia Smaglinski

Our new TravelPulse Canada series "Tales of Inspiration" celebrates the people who are helping us in the industry get through the gong show that is the COVID pandemic. When we're feeling battered and bruised, they're the ones shining a light to keep us going through these stressful times.

In our first installment, Patricia Smaglinski, a leisure travel consultant at Marlin Travel in Belleville, celebrates her two friends Amanda Clarke of Robert Q in Woodstock and Anna Todoric of Trip Central in Mississauga.

"I met my friends Amanda Clarke of Robert Q in Woodstock and Anna Todoric, Trip Central in Belleville on a Palace FAM two and a half years ago and we instantly had a connection.

We have been joking since March that our only flights would be flights of beer....but ended up taking a 15 minute helicopter ride over London recently to boost our morale.

Our non industry friends have been supportive during this pandemic, but only those living in "the trenches" can truly appreciate the uncertainty, the changing policies and decimation of an industry we truly have poured our heart and soul into for years. I'm truly thankful for their friendship."
