There’s definitely more than six reasons to love G Groups, but one very big one will be announced from G Adventures later this month; news that was unveiled last night to a select group of agents who experienced a “Random Act of G” in Toronto.
Ten agents gathered at G’s Basecamp for an appreciation night before heading over to see the Broadway hit, SIX The Musical. The night also marked the launch of Change Makers, the popular reward program that gives 15 Canadian agents a chance to earn a space at the community tourism pioneer’s third Change Makers GX Summit, taking place later this year.

"We love changing people's lives, and that includes our friends in our agent community. Tonight is about showing our appreciation to a select group of agents, giving them a heads up to what's in the works, and allowing us the opportunity to tweak our launch plans based on the agents feedback. And, it's just a nice thing to do".
The soon to be announced big news will be officially revealed February 21 during the company’s “An Evening with G Adventures & Friends” event. And judging from the reaction of agents Michelle Gaudet, (Nexion), Alison McGeorge, (TTAND), Anita Djordjevic, All Seasons Travel (TravelSavers), Tricia Madill, Pure Magic Vacations (TL Network), Susan Tuckey (TTAND), Colette Larson, Clarke-Way Travel (TL Network), Susan Williams (TTAND), Jennifer Mcpherson (TravelOnly), Cynthia Davidson (TTAND) and Karen Grant (TTAND) - agents should be very excited.
“The whole day was fantastic because G Adventures makes you feel comfortable and welcome and appreciated,” Collette Larson told TravelPulse Canada after the show. “And that was the number one thing that I took away. But I'm super excited about their news too. I know that we cannot talk about it yet, but I'm very excited.
“The show was of course amazing, it was just the perfect ending to a great day.”
The Change Makers challenge runs now until May 31, 2024. The campaign encourages agents to focus on changing people's lives through travel by booking G Adventures trips. Agents who successfully earn a place at the Change Makers GX Summit will see firsthand how their work directly impacts local communities in the destinations G Adventures visits.
The Change Makers reward programme runs alongside both the G-Normous and You Belong with G Experience initiatives, with all three designed to support G Adventures’ community of agents in changing lives through the booking of the small group operator’s trips around the world.
“Last year’s Change Makers Summit was the most phenomenal event G Adventures has ever hosted, especially being a part of the inaugural GX Summit,” says Green. “There’s nothing more rewarding for me than seeing our global community of agents come together to celebrate our success and the impact we have on improving lives in the countries we take our travellers to. This year is set to be even more epic, and I can’t wait to host our Canadian agents - and to reveal more details in due course.
