Air Canada Vacations wants to remind clients that now's the time to book for travel in summer 2024, particularly Greece which is one of their top European destinations and is nearly sold out for 2023.
"Many people have already booked their vacations well in advance, they aren't typically booking last minute tour to Europe as that takes a bit more planning. That's why it's important we're here now to remind of our offerings and the opportunity 2024 bookings," says Melissa Iantosca, Manager, Corporate Communications, ACV.
ACV gathered a small group of media Tuesday afternoon at Christina's on the Danforth Restaurant in Toronto's Greektown to sample authentic dishes of Greece and learn about the company's top tours to Greece.
Not that they needed to entice the attendees with food; Air Canada Vacations' National Account Manager, Matthew Djorsev's enthusiasm after his recent tour to Athens, Mykonos and Santorini was contagious and could very well cement him as a brand ambassador for the destination.
"I know this will seem almost expected for me to say, I just came back three weeks ago from our Best of Greecetour, I can honestly say I was completely blown away by it," he told TravelPulse Canada. "Everything, from flights, to the hotel to the tours was perfect. We chose comfort level, which is the very basic level and the hotels were still very, very nice; in Athens at the Polis Grand, we had a rooftop patio overlooking the Acropolis.
With flights, island transfers, and hotels included, it's amazing value for the experience."
All Air Canada Vacations feature their "More Moments" activities/excursions which are highlighted tours that are included in the packages. In the case of The Best of Greece, it's a private half-day tour to the Acropolis and the New Acropolis Museum. While itineraries are set in terms of travel, transfers and the More Moments excursions, the rest of the itinerary is left to the traveller, allowing for time to explore on their own and create their own moments.
"When working with us, you're not getting a conventional tour, you're getting fresher travel experiences that have been curated by a group of experts with real people who are ensuring that your vacation meets our high standards," says Iantosca.
Earlier this year, ACV produced a 'Travel Agent Toolkit for Europe.' The toolkit includes information to help agents book their customers' next European vacation including a planning guide, the most recent flight schedule for winter, an overview of available tour or cruise packages as well as ACV's promotions and offers.
