AAT Kings Puts Focus On South Australia In 2023-2024 Guided Holidays

AAT Kings has announced its 2023-2024 Guided Holiday tour season for Australia and New Zealand, with highlights including the launch of three new South Australia tours.

"The wild, wide and wonderful sites of these countries are calling travellers back and this new season's offerings cement South Australia as the next hot international destination," the company, part of The Travel Corporation, says in a press release.

"The trips focus again on the places, stories and tastes of Australia, From incredible landscapes to food and drink that immerses guests into the destination, stories from local people and unexpected experiences, AAT Kings invites guests to embark on a new adventure," says AAT Kings CEO Ben Hall.

"Our new 2023/2024 season showcases the best Australia and New Zealand has to offer and has a real emphasis on South Australia, a bucket list destination for travellers, rich in breathtaking landscapes, natural wonders and one-of-a-kind experiences. After too much time away from these beautiful lands, we're thrilled to welcome Canadian travellers back and reinvigorate their passion for travel," he added.

Here's a description of the new trips:

The new 4-day Outback Explorer: Uluru to Adelaide

On this trip, clients will have the opportunity to connect with living cultural landscapes and absorb the beauty of sacred lands. The journey begins in Uluru, then crosses from the Northern Territory into South Australia to visit the opal capital of the world - Coober Pedy with its stunning lunar landscape and natural wonders. Guests will visit Port Augusta, known as "Kurdnatta" in its Indigenous name, translating to "the place of drifting sand and stroll along the scenic coastline. They will time travel back to the era of dinosaurs as they visit the Wadlata Outback Centre before visiting some of Australia's best wine country in Adelaide and the Clare Valley.

The new 5-day Adelaide to Kangaroo Island tour

A favourite destination for foodies and culture lovers, this trip kicks off in Adelaide, home to delicious local produce and only a short drive away from orchards, vineyards and cheesemongers. Considered one of the best islands in the world, Kangaroo Island is next on the list, full of untamed landscape and native wildlife for clients to embrace its pristine beauty.

The new 7-day South Australian Eyre Peninsula

This South Australia journey starts with an Eyre Peninsula tour, full of premier wines and gourmet seafood to treat guests' tastebuds. They will enjoy the turquoise lagoons, pink lakes and abundant wildlife. Clients will also embark on a coastal scenic drive and enjoy the turquoise water before indulging in a seafood fest on a cruise around the Bay. For nature and wildlife lovers, an excursion to the only place on mainland where clients can observe seal pups at Point Labatt Conservation Park. Other elements include an oyster farm tour and another round of seafood indulgence. On a Wild Yarnbala tour, travellers will explore Indigenous culture and experience bush food, while listening to a didgeridoo performance. They will cruise the gulf to Wallaroo the next day to see the Bumbunga Pink Lake.

Aligning with the new season launch, AAT Kings has also introduced new tour highlights: First Choice -- Wildlife & Nature and Best Buys -- Natural Wonders. These experiences showcase the wild, natural elements of AAT Kings tours. Whether it's visiting ancient red rock cliffs encircling desert palms at Kings Canyon or seeing the dance of dolphins and whales over the pacific, travellers will be able to let their senses run wild.
