Viking took delivery of Viking Haki, one of seven river ships named in Amsterdam earlier this month, from Germany’s Neptun Werft shipyard.
Plying European Waterways
The 190-passenger river ship, which was named by The Roaming Boomers Co-Owner Carol Porter, who served as Viking Haki’s godmother, will sail on the Danube, Main and Rhine rivers, on itineraries such as the “Rhine Getaway,” “Grand European Tour,” “Danube Waltz and Tulips & Windmills” and Christmas Market itineraries.
Seven travel advisors served as godparents for seven river ships in four countries, illustrating the company’s commitment to the agent community.
Viking’s Advisor Partners
“Travel advisors have served as our partners for the 30 years that we’ve been in business, and we’re looking forward to doing even more business in the next 30 years,” said Viking President and Chief Executive Officer Leah Talactac.
Agents will find much to sell in the coming years. Viking is scheduled to take delivery of 17 river ships by 2028, 11 ocean ships by 2032, and two expedition ships by 2031.
