Norwegian Cruise Line has appointed Derek Lloyd as vice president of Strategic and National Accounts, effective February 24, 2025.
Lloyd succeeds Brennan Quesnele, who will become senior vice president of Sales at Oceania Cruises later this month.
Derek Lloyd has over 30 years of experience in the cruise industry, 25 of which have been with NCL. He most recently served as vice president of Field Sales for North America.
He will now be responsible for driving national account sales throughout the United States and Canada, developing new sales strategies and fostering new and current partnerships. He’ll also oversee the team that supports consortia partners and travel agencies across the region.
“With over 20 years at Norwegian Cruise Line, I’m truly honored to be taking on this new role as Vice President of Strategic and National Accounts,” said Derek Lloyd. “I look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationship with our travel partners as well as our commitment to being the easiest cruise line to do business with. It is such an exciting time for the Company with the 20th ship in the fleet, Norwegian Aqua, debuting this spring, and Norwegian Luna in March 2026 as well as the recent launch of our all-new ‘Experience More’ brand positioning and value driven More At Sea offer, there is so much for our travel partner community to look forward to in the future.”
