Flight Centre Travel Group has announced that Chadd Andre, a long-time executive within the organization, has been appointed as the new Executive Vice President for Flight Centre Brand (FCB) Canada.
The move will take effect after Brian McLaren departs on November 30. McLaren, who played a pivotal role in steering the Canadian division's transition into the growing digital market, is leaving the group after 21 years to pursue other endeavours.
FCTG says Andre brings vast experience, starting as a novice consultant in Vancouver twenty years ago and progressing to his current role.
"Andre has cemented his position as a leader throughout our organization, known for his ability to drive success from coast to coast. He’s a shining example of our 'Brightness of Future' philosophy — a passionate, and innovative leader who is sure to lead the charge from the front lines," said Chris Lynes, Managing Director for Flight Centre Travel Group Canada.
"It's a privilege to lead such an exceptional team,” says Andre. “With our talented people, expert knowledge, and worldwide reach, we're primed to provide the highest-quality travel services as Canadians once again want to see the world."
The company says Andre’s focus will be twofold as he looks to strategically boost both digital and retail sectors of the leisure business.
