Effective May 30th, Air Canada Vacations is pleased to announce a new Area Sales Manager, Elish Tait who will be responsible for the Toronto North, Northern Ontario and Toronto East to Kingston region.
Elish comes to ACV with a background in travel and an understanding of the importance of supporting our partners at the travel counsellor level. She joins ACV from The Travel Agent Next Door, where she was responsible for agency support and special projects for the past 7 years.
"I have spent the majority of my travel career supporting independent contractors," Tait tells TravelPulse Canada. "I'm super excited about this opportunity as I truly believe in the importance of travel professionals and the incredible impact they provide to the industry! I'm honoured to join ACV as the newest Area Sales Manager, and I'm looking forward to building new relationships, getting to know the business needs of our agent partners and providing the support needed to help reach their business goals."
Krista Rothfuchs, formerly the ASM for Elish's new role, will be moving into a new strategic role representing the ACV@Home Program. The ACV@Home program is a new initiative that Krista will be spearheading, with the aim to better support the Independent Travel Professional community. The program will offer some key benefits for agents to take advantage of, including a MasterClass Training platform.
"I think there's no better time to introduce an ASM that is dedicated to supporting Independent Travel Professionals that work from home," says Rothfuchs. "The way that Travel Advisors work has evolved, and we felt it important to evolve with them. I'm looking forward to building this new role with our host agency partners, to make sure they know they are well supported here at ACV."
Krista will be responsible for managing 6 National Host Agency accounts.
Both Elish and Krista will report to Erminia Nigro, General Manager of Sales, Ontario.
