Maureen Barnes-Smith, Vice President, Sales & Marketing Canada, Unique Vacations Canada is pleased to announce the promotion of C.J. Smith to Director of Sales effective immediately. An indispensable member of the Canadian sales team for Sandals and Beaches Resorts since 2008, C.J. was most recently Senior National Sales Manager.
C.J. first joined the Sandals family in 2001 with various on-resort roles at Sandals Montego Bay and Sandals Negril before moving to Canada in 2008 to assume the position of Business Development Manager, Alberta. After spending seven years in Calgary helping to grow the Western Canadian market, C.J. transferred to Toronto in 2015 to take on greater responsibilities working out of the Unique Vacations Canada corporate office as Senior Business Development Manager. He's been on an upward trajectory ever since.
In his new position as Director of Sales and armed with a recent Bachelor's in Business Administration (BBA), C.J. will continue to work with national trade partners including tour operators, tourist boards and retail chains. He will also support the team of Sandals Business Development Managers across Canada, helping them and travel advisors in their respective regions to develop and execute successful sales and marketing strategies to increase their Sandals and Beaches business.
