KAYAK has introduced a new Airfare Trends Dashboard offering a look at how flight prices are shifting for Canadian travellers, with early data pointing to rising domestic fares and more stable international pricing patterns. The dashboard tracks weekly and year-over-year changes in airfare using KAYAK search data, providing insight into how pricing has evolved since early January. It focuses on both domestic and international routes popular with Canadians and is updated weekly.According to the data, domestic airfare remains higher than it was at the same time in 2025. While prices dipped briefly in late March, they have started climbing again in recent weeks.International pricing is showing a different pattern. KAYAK says global fares are largely mirroring last year’s trends, with similar week-to-week fluctuations since early March. At the same time, some long-haul leisure destinations are holding steady or becoming more affordable. Cities like Montego Bay, Paris, Punta Cana and Tokyo are currently priced at or below 2025 levels, according to the dashboard.

Looking at how prices are changing week to week can help travellers make more informed decisions about when and where to travel.”The dashboard also includes city-level data, allowing users to compare how pricing varies by destination and how those trends are changing over time.Alongside the launch, KAYAK has updated its Trip Calculator, which factors in current gas prices and airfare to help travellers compare the cost of flying versus driving. The company says rental car interest remains in line with last year, while pricing has stayed relatively stable, rising slightly domestically and unchanged for international rentals.
