TravelPulse Quebec is currently in the Cancun/Riviera Maya region with Hyatt All Inclusive which has just opened several properties since the start of the year. First stop: Secrets Tulum.

Opened this fall, Secrets Tulum Resort & Beach Club is the first all-inclusive for adults in Tulum and the 12th hotel under the Secrets Resort & Spa brand.

Located in the heart of Tulum, in the Aldea Zama neighborhood, this eco-chic resort is inspired by the surrounding jungle. It consists of circular buildings surrounded by lush vegetation. At the center of each structure are cenote-style pools, some connected by a lazy river.

During the day, the resort's atmosphere is very peaceful, with just a few guests scattered here and there, and chill music playing in the background, perfect for romance and relaxation. At the end of the day and evening, the atmosphere became livelier in certain areas of the resort, particularly at the rooftop pool, where a DJ created a festive atmosphere.

The 301-room establishment offers high-end amenities and the Unlimited-Luxury experience for which the Secrets chain is known. It mainly attracts a clientele aged between 30 and 45, couples and groups who want to enjoy the vibrant ambiance of Tulum while enjoying a high level of comfort.

Elvira Reyes, Sales Director at Secrets Tulum Resort & Beach Club told TravelPulse Quebec “We are delighted to welcome you to our resort which reflects the unique atmosphere of Tulum, but also to have introduced you to the must-see sites nearby, including Mayan ruins, Yal-ku snorkeling site and the opportunity to swim in a beautiful cenote. Our prime location allows easy access to the wonders of Tulum, with one big advantage: proximity to the airport!"

In fact, the new Tulum airport, inaugurated this spring, is located just 25 minutes from the complex, while Cancún requires nearly two hours of travel.

In addition to its 9 swimming pools, 10 dining options and multiple bars, the hotel has more than 16,000 square feet of function space, making it ideal for weddings and other special events.

We also appreciated the eco-responsible touch of the complex. For example, in our room we had biodegradable sunscreen and mosquito repellent.

A stay inspired by The Bachelor

Recall that three resorts from Hyatt's Inclusive Collection line - Secrets Tulum Resort & Beach Club, Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya and Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa - were featured in the 28th season of The Bachelor last March. For a limited time, guests can enjoy a romantic getaway inspired by the show, with the Roses & Romance upgrade.

Booked by June 21, 2024 and traveled by December 31, guests who book a Preferred Club Suite for four nights or more receive exclusive benefits, including an Amstar excursion gift card, couples massage , a welcome gift and a turndown service with rose petals. They are also entitled to a mimosa breakfast in bed, a very pleasant experience that we were able to enjoy!

A lively beach club

The resort's private Beach Club is accessible by shuttle from the hotel, about twenty minutes away. On the way, we enjoyed exploring Tulum's quaint downtown area. With a musical atmosphere conducive to partying, this club has two swimming pools, numerous shaded rest areas by the sea, with Balinese beds. Guests enjoy free food and beverage service.

As for the 3-story spa, it is nestled in a quiet corner of the complex. It includes a dry sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, large heated pool with massage waterfalls, cold soak pool, and even an ice fountain used for exfoliation purposes. Reservation is required and you can allow approximately one hour for the hydrotherapy circuit.

An impressive Temezcal ceremony, led by a local Mayan shaman, was also offered to participants of the press trip. It takes place in the private courtyard of the spa, in a steam-heated hut. It is a ritual of purification and healing according to the tradition of the indigenous peoples of Central America.
