Travelers curious to see where the world leaders stayed during this year’s G7 Summit are invited to the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge to enjoy the world-class lodging and sip on globally-inspired cocktails with the launch of the Lodge’s new G7 Global Cocktail Series.
The G7 Global Cocktail Series launches at Blacktail Bar on Canada Day with Cabane à Sucre (aka “The Carney”) — a maple-forward take on an old fashioned, finished with smoked ice and Canadian bitters.
Each month through February, a new cocktail inspired by a G7 nation will be unveiled. August features France’s La Fille en Rose, a bright floral martini, and September features Germany’s Berliner Sommer, a crisp beer cocktail with raspberry and dill. Created by Blacktail Bar’s Head Mixologist Graham Hart, the series celebrates international spirit through flavour, creativity and cultural identity.
“Hosting the G7 Summit was a huge moment for our team, and we wanted to mark it with something meaningful — something that honours each G7 nation that visited us,” said Liz Hovey-Smith, General Manager, Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge. “It was a true honour to share these cocktails with world leaders onsite. Now we’re inviting everyone to stand in their footsteps, take in the mountain views and sip like a world leader. The full menu will be available all summer and into winter, offering a fun way to connect with this incredible moment in the heart of the Canadian Rockies.”
Also launching on July 1, is the Lodge’s Summer Adventure Series, a lineup of feel-good adventures and activities that hotel guests and visitors can take advantage of during their stay throughout the summer months. Highlights include:

Peak Picnic Experience: choose from three set picnic meals packed in a Yeti cooler backpack for guests to enjoy while hiking Mount Kidd. A keepsake picnic blanket is also included.
Après Sessions at Woody’s: enjoy weekend afternoons in a classic après ski chalet with food and drink specials, live music and more.
