Gaining a foothold in the American market is something a lot of Canadian companies would like to do. Trevello World Holdings, the parent company of Toronto-based Trevello Canada, took the first step of its strategic future plan today, entering the U.S. market by acquiring luxury host agency, Gifted Talent Network (GTN), which is based in North Carolina.
“This is a pivotal moment for Trevello as we bring our proven expertise and commitment to advisor success into the world’s largest travel market,” said Morris Chia, Founder and CEO of Trevello World Holdings Inc. “GTN’s stellar reputation in the luxury sector and dedication to fostering a collaborative, entrepreneurial community make them the perfect partner to help accelerate our growth strategy.”
In a press release, Trevello credits GTN with a successful mix of “professional development programs, entrepreneurial support, and a strong emphasis on community,” and looks forward to bolstering the success of advisors through expanded offerings.
“We are committed to developing a sustainable and rewarding future for travel advisors. With the acquisition of GTN we are taking the first step forward in starting to reimagine what success looks like in this industry,” said Chia.
Chia will oversee the expansion, with support from Zeina Gedeon, Trevello World Holding’s Co-Founder and COO.
GTN will continue as its own brand as a division under Trevello World Holdings, which gives it access to its new parent company’s broad market expertise and supplier relations. Jen Cochrane, Co-Founder and CEO of GTN will continue as CEO for continuity. “This collaboration strengthens the foundations we’ve each built,” says Cochrane. “Together, we’ll continue driving forward as a transformative force in the future of the travel industry.”
