TRAVELSAVERS Canada held an innovative professional development event in Waterloo at the end of April to support agency partners with tools and connections to help enhance sales and profitability.
“Timing of this event could not have been better, with travel being impacted by world events. It was the perfect time for owners to look more closely at their business plans, sales and revenue goals and strategies to grow,” said Jane Clementino, Senior Vice President and General Manager, TRAVELSAVERS Canada. “This event sparked interest in many diverse travel segments and inspired owners to look at new opportunities, and different approaches to accomplish their desired outcomes.”
More than 50 attendees gathered for two days of “hands-on learning, peer-to-peer exchanges, and actionable insights to propel further prosperity” in a changing travel landscape.
Rather than focus on supplier presentations, as traditional travel trade events often do, Passport to Profit was aimed at teaching moments and actionable business applications for agency owners.
Through workshop-style sessions and discussions, attendees learned about emerging opportunities in luxury, cruise and group travel, while gaining tangible strategies they could immediately implement within their businesses.
“Passport to Profit wasn’t just another industry owners’ event - this was a true shift in how we show up as travel professionals,” said Mary Beth Buchanan, Chief Travel Officer and Founder, GowithHIPPO Travel. “The energy, the collaboration, and the intention behind every session made it clear that the future of our industry is not only strong, it’s evolving in all the right ways.”
