Visit Tampa Bay has relaunched their highly successful Bay Crafted campaign to generate interest and drive new and repeat visitors to Tampa Bay. The updated campaign showcases the destination's authentic and wide-ranging craft beer and hand-crafted cocktail scene.
It's the latest offering for a destination that showcases world-class attractions and entertainment and a diverse range of options that also include dining and nightlife.
"Tampa Bay has the greatest concentration of craft breweries in the state of Florida and it is one of the many reasons that makes Tampa Bay one of the fastest growing tourist destinations in the country," said Santiago C. Corrada, President and CEO of Visit Tampa Bay.
It's these types of offerings that make Tampa Bay also a destination an ideal spot for MICE. The nation's best airport is just minutes from downtown's 600,000-square-foot waterfront Tampa Convention Center. Beyond its doors, Tampa Riverwalk links high-end hotels, outdoor venues, and cultural centers like gems on a string. Our historic streetcar can whisk your attendees to a night of dining and dancing in Ybor City, where Cuban artisans hand-roll cigars as they have since 1885. Join the spirit of José Gaspar, Tampa Bay's patron pirate.
Visit Tampa Bay works closely with hundreds of industry partners across the region to drive nearly $7 billion a year in economic development through tourism. More than 54,000 people in Hillsborough County support their families and secure their futures through tourism.
Visit Tampa Bay reported an exceptional month with its highest ever hotel collections month for May, reflecting April's collections. The collections, totaling $6,071,277 is a 51.7% increase over the previous May record set in the fiscal year 2021. Combined with May hotel revenues reaching more than $88 Million, according to STR, Inc., the May reports continue to showcase Hillsborough County as an industry leader in economic development through tourism.
"With the United States now 100% open to international audiences, Tampa Bay is in a very strong position to see a continual rise in visitation numbers throughout the summer months, especially with some large conventions already planned and our summer advertising rolling out," said Corrada.
