Amid the shifting travel landscape, with Canadians opting for Mexico and Caribbean destinations over American sun spots, St. Kitts and Nevis are eager to remind us of the delights they hold.
The sister islands have launched two tourism campaigns, one which focuses on the Kittitian diaspora, and the other, called “Summer Unscripted” which highlights promotions and savings for tourists.
The Kittitian-Canadian community is largely clustered around the GTA, and in Kitchener and Cambridge. The diaspora campaign reminds emigres that they are welcome to come back for a visit, get involved in volunteer initiatives, and to “reunite, reconnect, and relive the warmth of our island paradise.”
St. Kitts and Nevis are generally winter destinations for Canadians. Air Canada operates a seasonal flight between Toronto Pearson (YYZ) and Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw International Airport (SKB) in Basseterre, St. Kitts from October to April. There are no nonstop flights during the rest of the year. For those willing to make the transfers and get there during the summer months, the island nations are rolling out some special offers. Eight hotels have promotional pricing, free nights or bonus loyalty points offers for bookings made by June 30, 2025. The promotions are for travel until Sept. 1, 2025, with blackout dates from June 25-29.
Advisors are invited to learn more about St. Kitts, by enrolling in the St. Kitts Specialist Program. Advisors can also enjoy perks and discounted rates with the St. Kitts Yourway (SKY) program.
