The Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA) is bringing back its Vancouver transit campaign for a second year, expanding its “Catch The Waves Of Wonder” activation across Metro Vancouver with a fully wrapped SkyTrain and multiple chances to win trips to Taiwan.
A Wrapped SkyTrain Returns to Vancouver
Running until May 18, 2026, the campaign transforms the region’s transit system into a showcase for Taiwan’s landscapes and culture. At the centre is a fully wrapped train on the Canada Line, supported by interior cards, posters and digital screens across major stations on the SkyTrain, SeaBus and West Coast Express networks.
Commuters will see QR codes directing them to the campaign landing page, where they can enter a contest for prizes including flights to Taiwan.
Snap, Share and Win
Participants can enter by submitting their name and email address online. Additional entries can be earned by posting a public selfie with one of the campaign ads on Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #CatchTheWavesOfWonder, or by uploading a selfie directly to the campaign site.
Flights are sponsored by Taiwanese carriers China Airlines and EVA Air.
Prize draws are scheduled throughout the campaign:
- April 27, 2026: 20 foldable Taiwan tote bags with premium tea gift boxes
- May 4, 2026: Five OhBear dual-use neck rests, 10 Taiwan sock gift boxes and 10 special OhBear gift sets (exclusive to selfies taken at digital screens at SeaBus South Terminal, Moody Centre or Coquitlam Central stations)
- May 11, 2026: One China Airlines Premium Economy Class ticket to Taiwan
- May 19, 2026: Two EVA Air Economy Class tickets (awarded together as one prize)
“The return of Catch The Waves Of Wonder reflects the strong connection Vancouverites have shown with Taiwan,” said Sylvia S.H. Lee, Director of the Taiwan Tourism Administration's San Francisco Office, which oversees the Western Canada market.
“This second wave builds on last year's momentum with broader reach, deeper engagement, and even more prizes, increasing opportunities for people to picture themselves in Taiwan.”
Open to Canadian Residents
The contest is open to Canadian residents aged 19 and over, with no purchase necessary. Full terms and conditions are available on the campaign website.
The Taiwan Tourism Administration is Taiwan’s official government agency responsible for tourism policy and promotion. Its Western Canada market is managed by its San Francisco office.
