The World Residences at Sea is returning to Canada this summer for a month-long tour of beautiful British Columbia.
"There is something profoundly inspiring about Canada's Pacific coast," said Jessica Hoppe, President & CEO of The World. "Its scale, serenity, and cultural richness create an extraordinary canvas for exploration. With a strong community of Canadian Resident Owners, our return reflects both their deep appreciation for this remarkable region and our continued commitment to delivering transformative experiences in the world's most captivating destinations."
The Canadian leg of the 2026 itinerary has been designed to showcase the dramatic scenery of the province, from the Gulf Islands in the south, to the remote corners of the Northern coast.
According to the company, highlights in British Columbia include:
- Victoria, British Columbia, is a coastal city of historic charm, stunning gardens, and vibrant culture. Residents can take the exclusive "Castles of Power, Gardens of Passion" tour of Hatley Park, Abkhazi Gardens, Government House, and Craigdarroch Castle with PhD Susan Hawkins, whose work blends regional ecology and Indigenous plant knowledge. As well as enjoy a private Ocean Sciences overview with climate scientist Andrew Weaver at ONC and IOS, exploring world-class ocean observatories and Canada's largest marine research centers.
- Prince Rupert, British Columbia, is a coastal port city known for its deep-water harbor, Indigenous culture, and access to wilderness. Residents can explore the city by Vintage Trolley, visit Seal Cove Salt Marsh, or journey through the Great Bear Rainforest via VIA Rail and motor coach with wildlife and glacial vistas. They can also experience "Echoes of Time", tracing 14,000 years of Tsimshian history with a Long House visit, drumming, and a museum tour.
- Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, is the largest Southern Gulf Island, known for its artisanal culture, scenic landscapes, and peaceful coastal waters. Residents can enjoy bioluminescent kayaking at dusk, watch glowing plankton light up the water, or join ecologist Ruth Waldick for forest exploration and hands-on wetland restoration in the Coastal Douglas-fir ecosystem. Evenings can also include a curated experience at Hastings House, combining Canadian art history with fine West Coast dining overlooking Ganges Harbour.
Residents of The World travel to approximately 100 ports each year in the comfort and privacy of their own onboard residences with access to guest speakers, guest chefs and winemakers. There’s also six dining venues, a gourmet marketplace, five cocktail lounges and bars. Additionally, residents also enjoy a spa, comprehensive fitness and wellness programs, pools, a theater, and the only full-size regulation tennis court at sea which is also used for pickleball and curated destination experiences.
The World's global itinerary features 90 destinations across 20 countries on six continents. This year the ship will also visit Antarctica, Bora Bora and Japan.
