Holland America Line is reporting a surge in bookings for its 2026 European cruise season, with overall reservations up more than a third compared to the same time last year.
The increase is particularly pronounced for Northern Europe itineraries, which are nearly 50% ahead year over year.
“Given the strong pace of bookings we're seeing and our 'Start Your Journey' Wave promotion underway, I'd recommend anyone considering a summer European cruise book soon,” said Dan Rough, vice president of revenue management for Holland America Line.
According to the company, the 2026 Europe season includes itineraries designed for longer time in port, allowing guests to explore destinations more thoroughly, with opportunities for evening dining, cultural performances, and local nightlife.
Cruises will visit more than 175 UNESCO World Heritage sites across 35 countries, spanning the Mediterranean, British Isles, Northern Europe, and the Canary Islands. Destinations include major ports such as Barcelona, Naples, and Dubrovnik, as well as smaller stops like Portofino, St. Tropez, and Valletta.
Dining aboard, Holland America says its ships will offer regional cuisine, with menus inspired by the destinations visited, featuring fresh seafood, local wines, and dishes created by the cruise line’s Culinary Ambassadors.
In addition, guests will not miss any FIFA World Cup 26 matches. From June 11 to July 19, 2026, all 104 tournament games will be broadcast across the fleet, available in staterooms and on select big screens or in theaters on board.
