Things are about to get livelier aboard Holland America Line’s Oosterdam and Zuiderdam, both of which will be the recipients of new bandstands at their Lido Pools.
The addition of the bandstands is part of Holland America Evolution, a $500 million initiative designed to enhance six Vista- and Signature-class ships.
Expanded Entertainment Options
“The new additions will expand opportunities for guests to enjoy live performances throughout their cruise, with the first venue debuting on Oosterdam following its Evolution transformation in fall 2027,” Holland America said.
The bandstands will feature an eclectic collection of entertainment options, including solo performers, live bands performing during ship sailaways and a roster of special events.
Other enhancements onboard Oosterdam and Zuiderdam will include the addition of the Grand Dutch Café and new staterooms and suites.
Elevating the Guest Experience
“Evolution is about bringing the very best of Holland America Line to more of our fleet," said Holland America Line President Beth Bodensteiner.
“Over the past several years, we've been on a journey to expand and elevate our entertainment offerings across the fleet, guided by what our guests tell us they love most,” she added. “The new Lido Pool bandstands are another step in that effort, creating more opportunities to enjoy live music and memorable performances in one of the ship's most popular gathering spaces.”
