Small-ship expedition cruise line Heritage Expeditions added seven new itineraries to its list for the release of its new ship’s maiden season.
The Heritage Discoverer will sail its maiden season in 2027-28. Formerly known as Silver Explorer, the retrofitted ship will resume the family-owned expedition line’s High Arctic and Antarctica Peninsula expeditions.
Travelers can book the ship’s maiden season now, with guests and travel advisors saving 20% on all berths, plus an additional 10% off for past guests when they all book by August 31, 2026.
“Today sees an exciting evolution of Heritage Expeditions as we chart a new course, while continuing our legacy of authentic, responsible small ship expedition travel to some of the wildest, least explored and biologically rich regions on the planet," said Heritage Expeditions co-owner and Director, Aaron Russ. Russ runs the expedition line with his brother, Nathan.
“We are excited to return to some familiar shores aboard our new ship Heritage Discoverer, and explore lesser-known waters on new adventures as we introduce our unique expedition experience to these incredible parts of the world.”
The new itineraries are as follows:
- Atlantic Shores Odyssey Cruise—The 12-day sailing from Lisbon to Portsmouth takes travelers along Western Europe, visiting ports in Portugal, Spain, France, the Channel Islands and the United Kingdom.
- British Isles, Ireland & Scotland Expedition Cruise—This 12-day trip from Portsmouth to Glasgow introduces travelers to some of the most beloved Scottish Isles, visiting England, Ireland, Wales, the Channel Islands, Hebrides, St. Kilda, Skye and many more.
- Scotland, Faroe Islands & Iceland Cruise—Travelers can sail from Glasgow to Reykjavík on this 13-day itinerary, which visits the Faroe Islands, Outer Hebrides, Orkney, the Shetland Islands and more.
- Iceland’s Fire & Ice Circumnavigation—Those wanting to circumnavigate the land of fire and ice can do so with this 11-day itinerary, which is round-trip from Reykjavík.
- Svalbard, Greenland & Iceland Arctic Islands Expedition—Travelers wanting to explore the Arctic can enjoy visiting some of the remotest inhabited places on Earth with this 15-day itinerary, which includes one pre-voyage night in Paris.
- Antarctic Peninsula Expedition Cruise—This itinerary, which is either 11 or 12 days long, departs round-trip from Ushuaia and visits the South Shetland Islands and Antarctica.
- South Georgia, Falklands & Antarctic Peninsula Cruise—This longer, 22-day itinerary departs round-trip from Ushuaia and visits the Falklands and South Georgia, extending the expedition.
