Uber Launches Uber Ski in Canada

Uber has launched a new service to get skiers to the local hill in a handful of Canadian markets.

The program, called “Uber Ski” allows riders to reserve an UberXL full-sized vehicle up to 90 days ahead of time for a ride to a local ski hill. Uber specifies that the rides are for one or two passengers with their ski gear.

The program is already in operation in other international ski hotspots in the U.S., France and Switzerland. In Canada, it has launched in Edmonton, Gatineau, Kelowna, London, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver.

To access Uber Ski, users click on the Uber Ski tile on the home page and set when and where they want to go. Pricing fluctuates, as it always does with Uber and the driver has the option to cancel the ride if they are unable to fulfill the ride requirements.
