Stock Up on Canadian Souvenirs and English Snacks at Vancouver International

Layovers and departures at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) will be a little tastier and diverting, retail-wise, with the addition of two new vendors. Iconic Canadian label Roots has reopened at the airport, with a selection of its most popular items, such as sweatshirts, cabin socks, beaver plush toys, keychains and items from its Made in Canada collections. The storefront will also sell Vancouver-branded t-shirts and fleece, which are exclusive to the YVR location. Find it at gate 88 in the U.S. terminal. 

tentree, another Canadian brand, has also reopened at YVR. The sustainable clothing from tentree is a favourite with locals, who love the fact the retailer plants ten trees for every item sold. Find it in the domestic terminal, near gate C29.

Fans of ready-made sandwiches and salads will be pleased to find the first Canadian location of Pret-A-Manger at YVR. The U.K. brand is already a staple for quick lunches and drinks in 21 countries. The new grab and go cafe marks the first of three Pret locations anticipated to open in the airport this year, with a fourth slated for Toronto Pearson. Find it in the post-security food court of the international departures terminal.
