Porter Launches Toronto-Austin

Porter Airlines has officially launched new nonstop service between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and Toronto Pearson International Airport, adding another direct Canada-U.S. connection for travellers and travel advisors to sell.

The year-round route will operate five times weekly and links Austin directly with Toronto while also providing onward access across Porter’s Canadian network.

Flights are operated using the Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, which features Porter’s all-economy configuration with no middle seats. The airline also includes complimentary snacks and beverages, including beer and wine served in glassware, along with free Wi-Fi and in-seat power.

An inaugural event was held at AUS to celebrate the launch, bringing together airport officials, airline representatives and passengers travelling on the first flight.

“Each new international connection strengthens Austin’s role as a global destination and supports the economic vitality of our community. This service to Toronto provides our passengers with another seamless travel option while also inviting new visitors to discover everything that makes Austin unique.”

Porter says the route reflects continued growth across its North American network and increasing demand for cross-border connectivity.

The launch also gives Canadian travellers another direct option into Texas, while opening Austin to more inbound Canadian traffic through Toronto Pearson connections.
